The EU/UK/NATO seem to think that President Trump wants to co-operate with them over the future of Greenland.

But the reality is that is not his intention.

In fact, he doesn't really want to have to bother with non-US NATO forces in Greenland at all, he just wants the USA to have total control over the territory.

The EU/UK/NATO leaders seem to think they can tame Big Daddy's wishes with gooey texts, group chats and empty threats, but they can't.

As Trump himself would say: They hold no cards - especially now they have made themselves dependent on US LNG.

The 'but Denmark owns it'  and that the USA verified this in writing way back in 1916 - as Sky News verified - is not a card that Trump recognises to exist in the loaded deck he gambles with.

This is going to end badly for the EU/UK and NATO, whatever spin they try to put on it.

And if he succeeds in Greenland, he may just apply the same logic to Iceland in order to fully 'secure' the North Atlantic while he is at it.
