Trump has recently embraced crypto as a potential means for the USA to pay off $35 trillion in national debt.
But he is beginning to sound as confusing as Harris. According to Forbes:
"If we don't do it, China's going to do it," Trump told Fox Business. "China's going to do it anyway. But if we don't do it, China's doing it. China is already doing it, and if we don't do it, other countries are going to do it. So we might as well be at the forefront."
Apparently everybody is doing something, it's just not exactly clear what.
Although the national debt is bound to go up again if a new bill passes, as Forbes reports:
U.S. senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) has introduced a bill to direct the U.S. Treasury to purchase 1 million bitcoins worth almost $70 billion—while MicroStrategy's Michael Saylor has upped his huge bitcoin price prediction.
This is all beginnning to look like a scam to make a few already rich people even richer as the bitcoin price climbs on the promise of this kind of government intervention.
