Along with Canada, Greenland, USAID and many others, President Trump has now pledged to abolish the autopen used by former President Biden to sign various 'pardons' when he left office.
Apparently Biden had accidentally flipped a switch on base of the autopen when he was signing all those 'pardons', which meant it could be used to sign anything without Biden being anywhere near it.
Experts have told FNN that this is called 'unattended mode' - originally designed to enable the autopen to sign hundreds of cheques in a single batch whilst also changing the payee on each cheque.
Elon Musk's DOGE has disocvered that the autopen was used by someone, probably an AI bot, to sign a whole host of government-backed cheques payable to, for example:
- Hunter Biden
- The Clinton Foundation
- A diaper company
- A maker of stairlifts
- Tony Blair's Spare Change Foundation
- A transgender dance school in rural Bangladesh
It was also found to be signing up for lifetime subscriptions on multiple dating sites and paying webcam models for extended online 'cavorting' sessions. And all of this without the former President's knowledge. It's a disgrace.
According to DOGE the autopen had spiralled out of control and was responsible for adding over $5 billion to the national debt so it had to be stopped.
