The BBC has threatened to sue FNN for unfair competition in the delivery of Fake News.

The BBC has complained to OFCOM that as FNN is not subject to the same strict guidelines as the UK's premier state-sponsored broadcaster, it is free to report all kinds of fake news that is off-limits to the BBC.

A BBC activist explained:

We have spent years turning the BBC into a global leader in the delivery of fake news. Due to our efforts we have managed to catch up with the mainstream media in the USA who have excelled at this for decades.

So we are not going to let some upstart like FNN usurp our position. I should Coco.

Anyone who has watched our unrivalled and unbiased coverage of Brexit and President Trump will confirm that our ability to deliver fake news is second to none and respected around the world.

A spokesperson for the popular prime time show Question Time added:

Despite Brexit, something we never said by the way, we managed to disproportionally pack QT panels and audiences with people who agree with our narrative thus ensuring that anyone with a dissenting view was shouted down.

FNN tried to get a comment from various taxpayer-funded BBC celebrities but was unable to reach them:

  • John Sopel was giving an after-dinner speech in Washington DC
  • Gary Lineker was doing a crisp advert
  • Louise Minchin was at a physiotherapy session

EU spokesperson Ursula von Richthofen told FNN:

We have learned a great deal from monitoring the British propaganda channel. FNN had better watch out as we will soon launch our own EU fake news channel called DNN (Deutsche Nachtrichten Network) just to confuse the punters. The new channel will broadcast from Nuremburg and be managed by world-renowned filmaker Leni Riefenstahl. Vorsprung Durch Teknik!
