The 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is launching a number of new gadgets and devices, including a new oven-cam from Samsung.
The oven-cam livestreams cooking food from your smart oven as it cooks.
A spokesperson for Samsung told FNN:
Can you imagine how exciting it will be to watch a bubbling stew, toads cooking in their holes and pastry rising from soft dough to stiff pie crusts at anytime, anywhere?
We think cooking streaming will become as popular as porn on the Internet. We call it oven porn.
Australian chef Bill "Fanny" Heslop commented:
Who the hell wants to watch food cook? Seriously. Get a life. What would be more useful is live streaming of the progress of my takeaway pizza. Hey Muriel! Fetch me a tinnie. I'm parched.
EU spokesperson Ursula Von Richthofen told FNN:
Oven porn is banned in the EU by EU edict 897654 which forbids live streaming of any food unless the oven has been registered with the Bundestag and pays an oven tax (ofensteuer). Vorsprung durch Teknik!
