President Putin, eat your heart out - President Trump wants a new military parade in Washington to rival that of other nations such as Bastille Day in France and Russia's Victory Day parade.

In Russia the parade remembers the fact that in WW2 the Soviet Army broke the back of the Wehrmacht and conquered Berlin forcing Hitler to kill himself, but only after the Soviet state lost some 25 million people, most of whom were civilians. The sacrifice was colossal.

In the USA the parade will remember - Trump's birthday!

The cost will surely make this the most expensive birthday party ever.

Rumours that First Lady Melania, dressed as Marilyn Monroe, will pop out of a giant birthday cake to sing 'Happy Birthday Mr President', have been denied by the White House. Although they did say it was a beautiful idea.

A spokesperson explained:

The aim of this parade will be to celebrate the Supreme Commander of the US Armed Forces and to show the US taxpayer where all their hard-earned tax dollars are going.
