The narrative in the West leads us to believe that the greatest evil imperialist in the world is Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He who invaded Ukraine to expand his 'new' Russian empire and who apparently has the Baltic states and actually the rest of Europe in his 'Hitlerian' sights, according to plenty of NATO and EU bigwigs and even Boris Johnson who ought to have more sense.

But of course all this is nonsense, spun up by 5-star generals and others looking for increased defence spending in the UK and EU. After all it's obvious, is it not, that Putin has lots to gain from invading NATO stalwarts such as the Netherlands or the UK, neither of which are anywhere near his borders or for that matter any kind of threat to Russia even with USA behind them.

No. It is now quite clear who the real imperialist is right now - none other than President-elect Trump.

Trump - the return - has made it perfectly clear that Greenland, Canada, Mexico and the Panama canal are in his imperialist sights and despite a normally hostile MSM, the media continues to push the tired old trope of Putin expansionism, not supported by Putin's own words, while nervously laughing about what Trump has actually said he would like to happen, and preferably soon, to anyone who will listen.

Imperialism is alive and well but just nothing to do with Putin and Ukraine.
