The release of the detailed US plan for peace in Ukraine shows what appears to be a perfectly sensible basis to move forward with peace negotiations.

But it puts European leaders between a rock and a hard place. Not that Trump cares about that.

Europe either has to accept that Putin didn't lose or continue funding the war to further bankrupt their own economies.

As Victor Orban rightly said:

In an interview with Mathias Döpfner, CEO of German media group Axel Springer, which owns POLITICO, Orbán said financial support for Ukraine “kills” the EU “economically, financially” and is “just crazy.”

“We have burned already €185 billion, and … our intention is to to burn even more. So we finance a country which has no chance to win the war,” Orbán said.

Ah but Europe is funding Ukrainian 'democracy', while providing some juicy handouts for corrupt officials who could not resist putting their snouts in the EU-funded money-trough.

The plan still includes 'investing' $100 billion of frozen Russian assets in US-led efforts to restore Ukriane from which the US gets 50% of the profits, to which Europe is expected to add another $100 billion.

Another Trump MAGA bonanza!

The Daily Mail calls it a 'capitulation'.

We are f***ing mind-blown': Trump's 28-point 'capitulation' peace plan sparks astonishment in Ukraine - as US 'issues threats to agree by Thursday'

A capitulation is what Nazi Germany was forced into after the Red Army smashed the Wehrmacht, forced Hitler's suicide and kicked the Nazis out of most of Eastern Europe.

That's a capitulation.

This is more like a 'wake up and smell the coffee' moment.
