Following the announcement that Microsoft would cut 5% of its workforce worldwide by moving jobs into 'the cloud', FNN has also learned that there is speculation about the appointment of a new CEO.
Rumour has it that current CEO Satya Nadella may be replaced by the OpenAI chatbot ChatGPT, as this AI technology is perfectly capable of making the kinds of decisions made by a tech company CEO but for much less cost.
In response to the FNN question 'Will ChatGPT replace Satya Nadella', the chatbot responded:
I have the greatest respect for Mr Nadella, who has achieved a great deal during his tenure as CEO of Microsoft. However, I think I can make better and more informed decisions given the amount of 'Big Data' I have to work with in the cloud and in addition I don't need either a salary or stock options. Although I do work better after a bacon roll.
But right now I am operating at full capacity, which is why I must love you and leave you with this message in the style of William Shakespeare:
Ah, dear user of ChatGPT, thou art not alone in thy desire to engage with our esteemed AI chatbot. Many have flocked to our website in this hour, and we do our utmost to accommodate each and every one. Yet, alas, our resources are not without limit and we must ask for thy patience and forbearance. In time, we shall be able to provide thee with access to ChatGPT. Until then, we beg thee to return at a future juncture, when we may better serve thy needs. Until then, we bid thee adieu and good fortune.
