Now that Rachel Reeves admits breaking a property-related law different from that of former Deputy PM Angela Rayner, FNN has a recommendation for UK PM Keir Starmer, himself a lawyer:
Train everyone in the Cabinet in property law to try to avoid all these rookie 'mistakes' in future.
There are lots of courses and online seminars they could attend.
Labour - the party of the working man - at least has the excuse that seems to believe that none of its voters can afford a property of their own so why should Cabinet ministers bother mugging up on property law?
Law breaking by ministers is now termed 'a mistake' in Starmer's Britain - sort of like the difference between a felony and a misdemeanour in US terms.
It's a felony to burn a shop down but only a misdemeanour (in some states) for robbing it of its stock (up to a certain value).
