Sky News reports:

Driverless taxis to operate on London's roads from next year

London, often associated with the famous black cab, will be the first European city to get the driverless taxis.

Apparently the Licensed Taxi Drivers' Association is not worried about this new development presumably like they were not worried by Uber and other ride-hailing services cutting into their business.

But will the new AI-driven taxis be forced to take 'the knowledge' to prove they know how to get to various obscure London destinations by the fastest route?

Who knows?

In the USA where driverless taxis already operate, poilce cannot currently issue a ticket for a traffic violation to a non-human driver.

So go figure.
