A new NATO mission, named Baltic Sentry, was established in Helsinki to help prevent damage to undersea assets in the Baltic Sea.

A spokesperson explained:

Ever since the sabotage of the Nordstream pipelines, it is clear that we need to better protect our undersea assets from 'shadow fleets' intending to cause energy and other chaos in the EU and forcing us to buy more expensive US LPG gas.
