There was outrage in the media when a leading UK politician said she would not "take the knee" as a gesture of solidarity against racism, as has become the norm these days.

A UK government spokesperson told FNN:

We do not think that a gesture that encourages the police to put their knee on people's necks when arresting them is appropriate when we are trying to eradicate this kind of behaviour.

Bill "Battler" Heslop, recently retired boss of accounting firm BOGOF, commented:

Anyone who thinks I'm going to take the knee can get stuffed!

Surely twerking would be a better gesture since the police unlikely to shoot you in the ass while watching you twerk.
