While all kinds of EU leaders like Ursula Von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas go around talking nonsense, especially about how to resolve the Ukraine war, the only leader talking any sense is Viktor Orban of Hungary.
What Orban offers: “Europe of concentric circles”
Orban proposes to return more powers to the national states and form the EU as a structure from several “concentric circles”:
The first circle – countries cooperating in the field of security. In his opinion, Turkey and Ukraine could enter him, despite the fact that Orban himself had previously criticized the possible entry of Kyiv into the EU.
The second circle The states participating in economic integration and included in the Schengen zone must unite.
The third circle – Eurozone, that is, countries that have switched to a common currency.
The fourth circle – The most integrated EU members supporting the idea of “more and more close union” and are ready to participate in unified constitutional institutions.
“If the EU does not change, it will simply break up and will focus not on its own values, but on external examples – like, for example, Great Britain,” Orban said.
But bureaucratic bodies like the EU Commission hate the idea of flexibility and a kind of pick-and-mix EU want to kill nationalism of any kind in the bloc.
Instead they are happy to bury their heads in the Brussels sandpit, hoping that 'collective debt' and the transition to renewable energy will save them from fiscal oblivion.
It's all going to end badly with the EU in line for a right kicking.
In the meantime viddy well, little brothers, viddy well.
