UK PM Sir Keir Starmer has been talking at the UK Border Security - yes we know, an oxymoron - Summit.
According to Sky News:
Sir Keir told the gathering he was "angry" about the scale of illegal immigration around the world as he said it was a "massive driver of global insecurity".
The Labour government seems to be full of people getting 'cross', about the welfare system and 'angry', about illegal immigration but happy to claim £900 for 'pet rent' and take free tickets to pop concerts. Go figure.
All this anger sounds a bit like the Rachel Feinstein sketch about US (former) porn star Jenna Jameson getting petulant about something at one of Feinstein's shows.

Next up: claims for attending 'anger management' courses as it's really very vexing being in government.
He said people smuggling should be treated as a global security threat similar to terrorism.
Good job we are not in the EU.
When Italy wanted the migration problem to be treated as seriously as defence spending, the EU said no.
There doesn't seem to be any recognition that one of the main the root causes of this 'massive driver of global insecurity' is NATO interference in various countries triggering massive sectarian violence and creating hordes of refugees just looking for some peace and quiet.
Presumably it's just a coincidence that lots of illegal migrants come from Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria.
It's all very well focusing on criminal trafficking gangs but they only exist as 'suppliers' because there is a demand from people displaced by endless foreign wars promoted by the 'defensive' NATO alliance in the US-led 'war on terrorism'.
