The Wales metaverse - a virtual world showcasing the best Wales has to offer - has now opened to the public and can be entered on smartphones, tablets, laptops, computers and via Meta Quest headsets.

A spokesperson explained:

The new Wales metaverse allows anyone to explore Wales from the comfort of their own home so they have no need to go there.

By using the metaverse version of Wales, tourists won't be bothered by 'uncertain weather' or hit with the new tourist tax likely to be imposed in a few years from now.

And as a limited introductory offer, the first 1000 users will be be sent a tasty bunch of faggots, a popular Welsh dish, to enjoy in their own home.

Special features of the Wales metaverse include:

  • how to read unintelligible road signs
  • a drive through Cardiff at 20 mph
  • a Friday night out in Port Talbot
