BBC backs decision to let Israel join Eurovision as four countries boycott event

Licence payers money is going to pay for a BBC regime that backs Israel's actions in Gaza but not Russia's actions in Ukraine in relation to the Eurovision Song Contest.

The blatant double standards are obvious.

A BBC spokesperson said: “We support the collective decision made by members of the EBU. This is about enforcing the rules of the EBU and being inclusive.”

But Eurovision is not inclusive so this is a blatant lie.

If Eurovision was inclusive then all nations would be welcomed to participate. But they are not.

Luckily there are some principled broadcasters left in the world - clearly the BBC is not one of them.

Broadcasters in Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain are planning to boycott the event and Belgium and Iceland are considering a boycott.

Eurovision is supposed to be about the music but sadly it's not anymore.
