As Swiss glaciers melt, all kinds of stuff is being uncovered that disappeared years ago including the 7th Earl of Lucan (Lord Lucan) who vanished in 1974. He was presumably skiing at the time and caught in an avalanche.

Now the hunt is on for Bill and Ben the Flowerpot men, Andy Pandy and Sooty who all disappeared off our TV screens decades ago and were last seen boarding a flight to Geneva with some garden gnomes from Zurich.

A spokesperson for the Swiss Glacier Group (SWIGG) told FNN:

Lord Lucan is in excellent condition in his Harris tweed suit and his watch, a Swiss Rolex, is still working, which is a testament to world-class Swiss engineering. We will auction it and hopefully it will fetch a ridiculous price like that realised by Princess Diana's Ford Escort.

A consortium from Sicily has announced that they will lead an expedition to the Swiss Alps to try to find Jimmy Hoffa, the Teamsters union leader, who disappeared in 1975 and was previously thought to have been buried in a landfill in New Jersey.
