The UK's Telegraph newspaper reports:
A secretive Whitehall “spy” unit has been used by the Government to target social media posts criticising migrant hotels and “two-tier policing”.
The Telegraph can reveal that officials working for Peter Kyle, the Technology Secretary, have flagged videos with “concerning narratives” to social media giants including TikTok, warning that they were “exacerbating tensions” on the streets.

Yes folks, the Soviet Union is alive and well in making a comeback in the UK. First it's censoring alternative views on RT, then it's rooting out 'concerning narratives' and soon it will be a knock on the door at night and a trip to GCHQ for an 'interview'.
As The Spectator pithily said:
The government may not know how to stop the boats, but at least they’ve got a good idea about how to stop the tweets.
The Online Safety Act has so far focused on trying to protect children from porn and predators. But expect it to be extended to enable the identification and suppression of 'concerning narratives' and so-called 'conspiracy theories'. The Act is a Trojan horse.
Everyone got in a lather about their darling 'Martial' Zelensky cracking down on anti-corruption bodies in the Ukraine but freedom of speech is being steadily eroded in the UK. Perhaps we should just have martial law here in the UK and be done with it?
What's next? Interfering in elections in the UK to styme the rise of Reform?
Oh wait...we've already done that in the USA sending a team to support Kamala Harris and by funding dissent in Slovakia to undermine President Fico.
So nothing new there then.
