The tradition of placing a sixpence in christmas puddings is being fully updated for the modern world.

A new device  - made in China, routed via Israel and assembled in Hungary - will be on sale in time for christmas 2024 to enable happy families to play a new game at the end of their traditional christmas feast - the Plum Pudding Polka!

The devices, which include a small explosive charge that is enough to blow the pudding all over the ceiling, are triggered by a code sent from a mobile phone to the pudding via the Plum Pudding Polka app (downloadable from both the Android and Apple stores).

Those sitting around the table can then request a code, just like a normal verification code, to activate the device so everyone can enjoy the suspense as to which code will in fact detonate the pudding aka IEP (Improvised Explosive Pudding).

Imagine the fun the Cratchits could have had with such a device.

God bless us every one!
