In the wake of the scandal over the Afghans who helped Britain email leak, The Spectator has analyzed where they have all gone if they reached the UK.

The tragic thing is that the Royal Marine responsible for losing the email with all the names in it may end up being responsible for more Afghan deaths than Marine A who helped a Taliban PoW shuffle off his mortal coil.
Either that or for the enrichment of those who will rightly take the opportunity to sue the UK government for endangering their lives as a result of the leak.
According to The Spectator:
- As of May (2025), 35,245 people had been relocated to the UK through the Afghan resettlement programme (that's around about the population of Exmouth in Devon)
- 2344 (6.8%) relocated to South West England & Gibraltar (that rocky island off the SW coast?)
- Since 2018, 27,285 Afghans have arrived via small boats or other forms of irregular migration
- Among local authorities, Crawley (including Gatwick Airport) hosts the largest group (1,026)
- None relocated to the Scilly Isles
So there you have it.
