Following Scotland's introduction of a new Hate Crime Act, certain exceptions have been identified by the Scottish National Party (SNP), including:
- Insulting the English is not a hate crime
- Insulting supporters of the Union is not a hate crime
- Insulting by Celtic/Rangers fans of each other is not a hate crime
- Insulting J K Rowling is not a hate crime
- Insulting useless old white men is not a hate crime
- Anything Rab C Nesbitt says is not a hate crime
The BBC reported that Police Scotland has received more than 3,000 hate crime reports since the new law was introduced on Monday.
Proving that the new Act has been successful in its intention to 'stir up hatred' in Scotland. Well done!
