Sky News reports:

Former British athlete Lynsey Sharp has told Sky News she would have won a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016 had today's gender testing rules been in place then.

Sharp came sixth in the women's 800m final behind three now-barred athletes with differences in sexual development (DSD).

Many deserving female athletes were undoubtedly robbed of medals in the 2016 Olympics due to bent rules.

At least now women who have trained hard to get to the Olympics can compete fairly with other biological women but there remain other 'rules' bending the results of sporting events.

The World Athletics Championships now being held in Tokyo are not 'world' championships because Russia, one of the world's leading sporting nations, is not included. Many athletes, whether male and female, are not competing against all the world's best.

Imagine a world championship without the USA, it wouldn't be taken seriously.

Politics, whether 'woke' or not, should be kept out of sport so all athletes compete on a level playing field with the world's best men and women.
