Following the disputed 2020 election results, Idaho, the potato state somewhere up there in the North West, has decided to secede from the Union.

This decision was not taken lightly as Senator Maris "Spud" Piper (R - Sandpit, Idaho) explained:

Our great state of Idaho has no need of the rest of the Union since it can survive very well thank you on the revenue from its main export, Sandpit Specials, a potato genetically modified to grow into a single french fry and supplied directly to fast food restaurants worldwide.

Ronald McDonald, a spokesperson from a global fast-food chain commented: If there's time to lean, there's time to clean.

A spokesperson for Cadburys world-famous Smash powdered potatos burst out laughing and fell about the place.
