The EU must be in uproar after it became clear that the latest proposed Ukraine peace talks will take place in their favorite country, Hungary, hosted by their favorite leader, Viktor Orban - a 4-term Hungarian Prime Minister and smeared by some as a Putin stooge.

Oh dear.

One can only imagine the backstage machinations this has set in motion as Macron, Merz, Starmer and Von Der Leyen go into overdrive to ensure they are involved in the talks somehow, somewhere.

Perhaps a photo call at Budapest's Gellert baths with Emmanuel, Friedrich and Keir sporting a modesty flannel over their privates and Ursula wrapped in an EU flag towel while standing behind a fully-clothed Trump, Putin and Orban on the podium?

Maybe a goulash dinner at Gettó Gulyás, described as a cozy Hungarian restaurant inside Budapest's fashionable Jewish quarter, to show solidarity with Israel and in memory of Béla Zsolt's Nine Suitcases?

Or an early morning champagne breakfast on a tributary of the Druzhba pipeline, carrying oil from Russia to Hungary, complete with a flypast of drones from Ukraine?

Trump certainly knows how to stick it to the EU!
