Hot on the heels of King Charles offering to name UK submarine building town Barrow-in-Furness (BIF) Royal BIF, President Trump has demanded that the 'Royal' moniker be added to Yorktown in Virginia so the town will become Royal Yorktown.

A spokesperson explained:

Yorktown is the site of the British surrender in the American War of Independence so we think it would be a nice 'special relationship' gesture if his Royalness granted the town the 'Royal' moniker.

Yorktown could do with a lift and with its new name could open a whole new range of 'Royal' hotels and create new merchandising stamped with the 'Royal' seal of approval for sale online.

Kinda like what happened when they relocated London Bridge to Havasu City, Arizona.

The King is rumoured to be considering an alternative, which is offering Trump the 'Royal' moniker for Mar-A-Lago instead, it's just that it doesn't sound as good as Royal Yorktown.

US VP J D Vance slapped his thigh and commented:

Ma great-great-great-grandaddy, Jed D Clampitt, who moved to Beverley Hills after the war, led the hillbilly detachment of the revolutionary army and he would be pleased as a possum to hear this news. Yee-Haw!
