A new Microsoft feature that screenshots users every two seconds is being investigated by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
The Recall feature will be installed on new Microsoft laptops and is part of their new AI app known as 'Wingman'.
A spokesperson explained:
Wingman uses the laptop's built-in camera to take a snap of the user every 2 seconds.
Then, using an AI-assisted search engine the user can type in a request such as 'wax' and be returned snaps of them cleaning their ears.
This way, users will always be able to remember what they were doing at any point during the day.
Wingman is expected to be heavily marketed to Alzheimers sufferers as a way for them to remember what they were doing 2 seconds ago.
