As the EU and US threaten 'secondary sanctions' on Russia, Sky News reports that 'secondary assassinations' may follow as the heads of corporations that make weapons that kill people are apparently being considered legitimate military targets by Russia:
For a man whose name we are told was on a Russian hit list, Armin Papperger seems very relaxed.
The 62-year-old is the chief executive of Germany's largest weapons manufacturer, Rheinmetall.
In January, a Nato official confirmed that a plot to murder Armin Papperger was foiled by US and German intelligence.
The plot was one of a series of Russian plans to assassinate defence industry executives across Europe and part of wider sabotage being carried out on member states, according to NATO deputy assistant secretary-general for innovation, hybrid, and cyber, James Appathurai.
FNN wouldn't worry too much about being on a Russian hit list.
Obviously they failed to kill Papperger according to NATO, they failed to kill the Skripals living openly in Salisbury and they failed to kill Navalny on an internal flight in Russia - the latter two with the so-called 'deadly' Novichok nerve agent, which doesn't seem as effective a killer as a cheap drone.
FNN and Papperger clearly understand that it is much more worrying to be on a Mossad or Trump hit list as they have both proven to be highly effective at dispatching people they consider to be enemies.
