The UK, known in the past as the 'sick man of Europe' is now trying to be known as the 'fit man of Europe'.

Since 2010 - apparently - the term 'fit note' has replaced the politically incorrect 'sick note' as an NHS authorized permission to remain off work after 7 days of self-certifying an illness.

No longer does one now 'pull a sickie' instead, one pulls 'a fitty'.

Fit notes - short for fit for nothing - are due for a makeover as some are suggesting that fit notes should be tied to some kind of remedial action such as going to a gym or laying off Gregg's bacon rolls so that fit notes become associated with something positive rather than the old workshy 'sickie' that seemed to popup whenever some big sports event was in the calendar.

These fit notes are not to be confused with the 'fit notes' provided by OnlyFans models to encourage their viewers to take out a subscription to fund their lavish lifestyles.

Those are a little more visual and you can't get those on the NHS - yet.
