Sky News reports:

The government does not currently have control of Britain's borders, the home secretary will admit in a speech today.

Shabana Mahmood is hosting counterparts from the Western Balkans and other European allies in London, and will demand greater international co-operation to tackle small boat crossings.

It's only taken a decade or so of uncontrolled illegal immigration for the government to admit this obvious fact while the EU has never admitted that their much-vaunted freedom of movement 'value' has caused problems that will never go away unless it is repealed.

Another fact that these governments should acknowledge is that it is interference in the affairs of other countries - i.e. starting wars and creating instability - that set off much of the illegal immigration problem in the first place.

The sad thing is that law-abiding tourists who are not citizens and come to the UK to spend money can't even enter the UK now without an ETA but anyone else just boards a boat, lands in the UK and gets transfered to a hotel.

Bonkers!
