UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman chose the USA to speak about the problems of and solutions to an immigration crisis that is not just a problem in the UK and EU but increasingly so in the USA, despite the country being a true 'nation of immigrants' - something falsely claimed about the UK, which is in fact fast becoming a nation of 'swimmigrants'.

In Fulton Missouri, she spoke about the need for an 'iron curtain' to fall on the borders of the UK and the USA to help prevent unrestrained immigration -  a bit like Russia's policy on the issue. This immediately led to Trump supporters hashtagging posts on X #dropthecurtain and a rise in the share price of curtain material manufacturers worldwide.

While Elon Musk tours the US border with Mexico to see the problem for himself and leading West Coast cities are facing emigration due to severe homelessness problems driven by new immigrants undercutting previous immigrant wages in the job market, Eric Adams, the Democrat Mayor of New York is also worried:

We're getting no support on this national crisis. We're receiving no support...

And let me tell you something New Yorkers: never in my life, have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don't see an ending to this. I don't see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City, destroy New York City.

Apparently Trump's penchant for repetition is catching on.
