George Galloway was detained at Gatwick airport under the Terrorism Act.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command stopped the 71-year-old former MP on Saturday as he returned to the UK.

Met spokesperson said: “We can confirm that on Saturday, 27 September counter terrorism officers at Gatwick Airport stopped a man in his 70s and a woman in her 40s under Schedule 3 of the Counter Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019.

“Neither of them were arrested and they were allowed on their way.”

Schedule 3 to the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Act 2019 allows an examining officer to stop, question, search and detain a person at a port or the border area in the UK and Northern Ireland for the purpose of determining whether the person appears to be a person who is, or has been, engaged in hostile activity.

Galloway is a well-known activist in the UK and often smeared for his 'Russian ramblings' and as a 'Kremlin Stooge' because he is a regular on RT, currently banned in the UK as a Kremlin disinformation channel.

Just like the channels banned in Russia, in Ukraine and in many other countries to shut down disseminating any information that might contradict the carefully constructed MSM narratives.

Presumably he was detained because he wears a fedora hat that could have been used for hostile acts.

Graham Linehan also got similar treatment for his anti-trans stance. No doubt there are many other examples.

It's getting quite dangerous to arrive in the UK by plane - far better to arrive by boat.
