Following the EU using its much-vaunted 'values' to pressure Hungary into supporting further funding for the Ukraine, MEPs are now saying that Tucker Carlson should be sanctioned for interviewing Russian President Putin.

Support for sanctioning the journalist comes from - among others - Guy Verhofstadt, a current member of the European Parliament, who said:

As Putin is a war criminal and the EU sanctions all who assist him in that effort, it seems logical that the External Action Service examine his [Carlson] case as well

Apparently Putin is already a convicted war criminal, according to the MEP, and joins that illustrious club of happy clappy politicians from around the globe who have started illegal 'humanitarian' and 'preventative' and 'defensive' wars resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands of civilians in countries far from their own.

But the victims were only 'towelheads' who happened to be living in the wrong place at the wrong time - so who cares?

And we don't see these other politicians being sanctioned. So go figure.

EU spokesperson Ursula Von Richthofen told FNN:

A journalist interviewing a person we don't like is clearly in violation of EU statute E65389760.

And we don't like Mr Putin since he constantly drones on about the behaviour of former German citizens in his country.

He should have forgotten those 25 million or so deaths by now. I mean come on! Give it a rest FFS!

It's not as if any of those deaths affected him personally up there in Leningrad in his luxury apartment.
