In an age of global dissatisfaction with politicians, one thing that people want is clarity and honesty, but does it help when politicians tell it like it is?
At the Charlie Kirk memorial service, President Trump said:
[Charlie] did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them. That's where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent and I don't want the best for them.
So no beating around the bush there.
Netanyahu is another one, here on the establishment of a state of Palestine:
It’s not going to happen. There will be no Palestinian state to the west of the Jordan River.
So is it better to have politicians who fib or politicians who come right out with it?
Colluding with fibs is obviously easier and more comfortable but that's the primrose path to the everlasting bonfire.
