As the truth continues to drip out about the Ukraine war, it becomes much clearer what really went on.

With destabilisation on his borders, the attempt to ethnically cleanse a Russian-speaking diaspora as the Minsk agreements failed, and the threat of NATO missile bases within easy striking distance of Moscow, Putin really had no other option than to take the bait by invading and hoping that the show of force would lead to Ukraine rolling over and agreeing to a negotiated settlement involving neutrality.

This very nearly happened in Istanbul in April 2022 but instead what happened was that the USA realised this was a perfect opportunity to degrade Russia by a war of attrition in Ukraine (straight out of the Afgansy playbook) to eventually force an ignominious defeat on Putin and hopefully his downfall so he could be replaced by a US useful idiot - just as they are trying to do now in Venezuela.

Therefore the peace had to fail.

For whatever reason, Johnson agreed to be Biden's frontman in this effort, and Zelensky was hit by a double-whammy: External US and internal far-right pressure to continue the war, come what may.

Once again, you have to feel a little sympathy for Zelensky's position then between the devil and the deep blue sea - but not now after Ukraine has been tragically depopulated by a triple whammy - widespread migration, loss of territory and death - something that will take generations to recover from.

Since any success in Istabul 2022 would have been viewed as a Putin victory, it was essential that the MSM narrative was changed to support a bloodthirsty Russian imperialism trope and the whitewashing of the Ukrainian far-right, in order to paint Putin as another Hitler and rubbish his fighting fascism talking point. After all, Zelensky is a Jew right?

By taking on US-fomented destabilization on his own borders, that Russia considered an existential threat, Putin was painted as an existential threat to the rest of Europe, which was nonsense, since any country with any sense and the capability to respond would do the same in the same position - including the USA and the UK.

But it's all unravelling now as the truth steadily undermines the fake narrative that has been fed by the MSM for so many years now.
