New research from Sweden suggests that sniffing other peoples' sweat can make mindfulness sessions more beneficial and reduce social anxiety.

A Rwandan chimpanzee told FNN:

We've known this for centuries. There's nothing we like better than a group sweat-sniffing session. It helps us all calm down after chasing a few spider-monkeys through the trees, tearing them apart and eating them for lunch.

The research findings have also been disputed by mums. For example, Swedish mum and online influencer(#madmamamia) Frida von Abba told FNN:

Obviously the researchers have never smelled the bedroom of my teenage son or emptied his laundry hamper. If anything, this increases my social anxiety and definitely make me want to reach for the Lynx. (bom-chikka-wah-wah!).

A Swedish startup - Svenska Sniffa - is set to market new 'flavored' sweat pads so you can have a secret sniff whenever you feel some social anxiety coming - like on a bus, at a police line-up or at an airline checkin counter.

The first flavors are: Gaming Dude, Teenage Ninja Hormones, Menopausal Matron and Sewage Worker. The pads come in natty canisters, a bit like wet-wipes, perfect for carrying in a handbag or backpack.

FNN has been assured that the new sniff patches are not addictive and are compostable. So that's a relief!
