Do you want to ban kids from social media? The government is asking

The government is describing this as the "world's most ambitious consultation" and its results could bring about the biggest change to social media since Myspace went mainstream in the early noughties.

Instead of a 'consultation' why not have a referendum?

Surely this issue is important enough - even for people without children - to put it directly to the electorate.

Why is the MSM not even asking this question? It's a mystery.
