According to Sky News, after a Taylor Swift concert was cancelled in Vienna, fans showed signs of mental health problems:
'There were girls crying and sobbing wearing Taylor merch', says Taylor Swift fan, Maria.
Maria, possibly a former nun from Salzburg, also said that she and her friends had planned their whole lives this year around the concert.
FNN asked Professor Emile Shaffhausen, of the famous Swiss mental health clinic, for his thoughts and he told us:
Vi are seeing more und more patients coming to ze clinic with problems relating to building zer welt around fraulein Swift.
Vi call it 'doing a swiftie' [not to be confused with 'having a shufti' or 'pulling a sickie'].
Zis is a new phenomenon among die junge und one which can have devastating consequences on zer mental health.
None of zis happened when I vos a young man und Led Zeppelin cancelled a concert. Vi just rambled on.
Und zer vos no 'merch'. Nein.
All you needed zen was a tie-dye tee shirt and a pair of skin tight loons to highlight your Flaschenzug.
