Downing Street has said Sir Keir Starmer is "upbeat and confident" - after being asked if he will resign today. 

It follows the resignations of the PM's chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney yesterday, and this morning, his fourth director of communications in government, Tim Allan.

Responding to that question from journalists, the prime minister's official spokesperson replied: "No."

The UK now has a fully confirmed lame duck PM.

It is being led by a quack promoting fake cures for all the country's many woes.

This is a man trying to lead the 'coalition of the willing' to end the war in Ukraine, when there seems to be more corruption in his government than in the Ukrainian RADA.

It's a shame Bruno Ganz is no longer alive as he could reprise his starring role in Der Untergang in a new movie: Downfall - The Starmer Version.

Liz Truss may have been a disaster as PM and only lasted 44 days in the job but at least she had the decency to resign.
