Sky News reports on the latest from the E3 (the three European 'good-eggs' - France, Germany and the UK):

Europe scrambles for counter-proposal to US-Russian plan for Ukraine

On the Trump plan, the prime minister said allies are meetin [sic] on Saturday "to discuss the current proposal on the table, and in support of Trump's push for peace, look at how we can strengthen this plan for the next phase of negotiations".

Strengthening the plan really means that they want to rebalance it towards Ukraine's position and make it tougher on Russia.

Barmy-Starmy (aka Keir 'never-here'), he of 42 foreign trip in 17 months, warns:

Ukraine has been ready to negotiate for months, while Russia has stalled and continued its murderous rampage. That is why we must all work together with both the US and Ukraine, to secure a just and lasting peace once and for all.

The PM appears to be suffering from amnesia, probably as a result of all these foreign trips, as he seems to have forgotten:

  • The 2022 peace that was agreed by Russia and Ukraine but rejected by Europe and the USA in favour of years more killing of Russians and Ukrainians

  • Years of 'murderous rampage' by the Ukrainian state against Russian speakers in western Ukraine - its own people who were not too keen on the results of the Kiev coup

He also neglects to acknowledge that a 'just and lasting peace' cannot be created without working together with all parties, namely the 'US and Ukraine' ... and Russia.

It seems the only thing that is scrambled is the E3's grasp of reality.
