According to Sky News:

Writing in The Sunday Times, Sir James Bevan, head of the Environment Agency, said that people in the UK should be "less squeamish" when it comes to drinking water that has previously been mixed with sewage, as water companies plan to recycle water directly from flushed toilets.

FNN has learned that a new company, the snappily named 'U-Benders', are set to market a new plumbing addition that fits onto your U-Bend and filters a litre of drinking water from every flush. Now everyone can be sure they are fully hydrated and conserving water as after each toilet flush you can drink a fresh, clean litre of water.

This could sound the death knell for toilet ducks and loo bloos that add chemicals to the toilet water to reduce dirt buildup in the bowl, but then again maybe these will add a delicate flavor to the water. Who knows?
