The NHS is collaborating with a major UK supermarket chain to help prevent testicular cancer with its new 'Nutmug' range of boxer shorts.
A spokesperson explained:
Nutmug boxer shorts contain special new labeling with a QR code so you can send a mug-shot of your nuts to the NHS.
Your 'Nutmug' shot will be reviewed by an AI diagnostic unit using a special model trained on testicular images to check for signs of testicular cancer.
If signs are detected you will automatically be added to a waiting list for treatment and your Nutmug shot will be anonymously added to a new NHS website at www.nhs-nutshot.com to help others to recognize if they have similar symptoms.
Similar intiatives are being planned for bras and thongs.
Eventually the NHS expects that underwear will become just another node of the Internet of Things (IoT) and be equipped with tiny cameras that can send shots of intimate areas automatically on a daily basis, which could have a major impact on cancer prevention and cure.
