FNN doesn't claim to be any kind of expert in negotiations but here is some advice to the Iranians on how to respond to the 15 (14?) point peace plan:
- Iran dismantles its nuclear capabilities - yes, everyone else does.
- Iran commits to never pursuing a nuclear weapon - yes, if everyone else does.
- Iran doesn't enrich any more nuclear material - yes, if everyone doesn't.
- All enriched material will be handed over - yes, if everyone elses' is.
- Existing nuclear facilties to be destroyed - yes, if everyone else destroys theirs.
- IAEA's role strengthened - yes, if it applies to everyone else.
- Iran will abandon its proxy model - yes, if everyone else does.
- Iran will stop funding and arming proxies - yes, if everyone does.
- The Strait of Hormuz will be opened - if all other global 'chokepoints' are opened.
- Iran to limit number and range of its missiles - yes, if everyone else does.
- Iran will only use missiles for self-defence - yes, if everyone else does.
- Sanctions on Iran will be lifted - yes, they are illegal anyway.
- Iran to develop civil nuclear energy program - yes, like the EU and everybody else should.
- The snapback threat against Iran will be removed - yes, it's illegal anyway.
The USA, Israel or anyone else would never agree to this 'peace plan' so why would Iran?
