The US Embassy has reacted furiously to the suggestion by a Pennsylvania academic to throw all English tea into the sea.

An Embassy spokesperson told FNN:

We don't agree with this kind of insurrection-inducing rhetoric which probably comes from a tea-party secretly supported by Trump and is designed to undermine our democracy.

Throwing tea into the sea should never be used as a way to settle differences as it only leads to trouble. Even when taxes are high.

English tea company PG Tips is rumoured to be creating a new TV advertisement featuring its gang of boisterous tea 'chimps' going bananas and chucking lots of obviously labeled Typhoo tea into the English Channel then not paying their council tax.
