There's a new Bobbi on the beat - and they're powered by AI
Chief Superintendent Simon Dodds described the trial of the UK's first AI-powered police virtual assistant as a "really exciting time" - and hopes this will allow staff to focus on "emergencies and complex, sensitive issues".
FNN has learned that the new AI has been trained on the movies Robocop (1987) and Dirty Harry (1971), so expect Bobbi to respond to enquiries with pithy phrases such as:
- Your move, creep.
- Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!
- Come quietly, or there will be—trouble!
- You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?
- I know what you're thinking. Did I have six shots, or only five?
- You don't listen too good, do ya, asshole?
Bobbi will also be able to direct lethal drone strikes on locations where criminal activity is deemed to be taking place, from a new control centre based in Woking, that will initially be run by humans - but not for long.
