The newly appointed UK Ambassador to the USA and key custodian of the so-called 'special relationship', Lord Mandelson, no longer considers President Trump 'a danger to the world' or 'little short of a white nationalist and racist'.

According to the UK's Telegraph newspaper:

Lord Mandelson said he had never held such views about Mr Trump, claiming he was merely describing the thoughts and feelings of British people.

Something he can claim to know a lot about having been part of an administration that lied to parliament and led the UK into an illegal war in Iraq, resulting in the deaths of British troops fighting to rid the world of mythical WMDs and, lest we forget, the death of a significant number of innocent Iraqi 'towel-heads' along the way.

Mandelson was one of many UK politicians happy to trash Trump when he was unpopular and out of power but now has to eat humble pie or at least swallow a cheeseburger and a diet coke.

This spectacular U-Turn shows what the promise of power, status and money does to a washed-up politician.

Mandelson, already described as a 'moron' by a Trump aide, no doubt expects that he will fool the US political establishment and public as easily as he did the British.
