The Hereford Times (BTW Hereford is the home of the SAS) reports:
Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), told the Commons’ Defence Committee on January 12 : “We won’t deploy our armed forces if we’re not happy that they’re going to be safe..."
Translation: We will never deploy troops in Ukraine as they won't be safe.
It's quite clear from all the UK has said about Russia and done in Ukraine that UK troops would go to Ukraine as 'the enemy' of Russia.
And who tolerates enemy troops on their border, however far from the 'front-line'?
The USA wouldn't and neither would most other nations, including the UK.
So how could they ever be safe?
It's just more nonsense to feed the fake narrative that the UK is an important player in bringing peace to Ukraine - as opposed to death, which is what it actually does.
Advice to the Air Chief Marshall: Best place to deploy UK troops is in Poland under the protection of 'Big Daddy' Trump and not in Ukraine.
