Sky News reports on the latest car bomb in Moscow:
As with previous bombings, there is an obvious question: is it because of the war in Ukraine?
Or as we say in the UK...a bleedin' obvious question, meaning not a question at all.
...
Kyiv hasn't commented on this bombing, but they did claim responsibility for the one in December that killed a top Russian general.
...
Either way, it's not a great look for the Kremlin.
Sky also said in another report:
"So they [the Kremlin], in a sense, are going with the idea that an assassination is taking place in Moscow, which is partly bad for them because it's a propaganda loss for them, if it shows that Moscow is not a very safe place to be."
At least they haven't blamed Putin, but this 'bad look/no-condemnation approach' is kind of a bizarre way to report an assassination given the UK's rich history of having had people blown to pieces.
For example, former Colditz escapee and UK politician Airey Neave was blown up in his car by INLA in London in 1979 and there are still calls to get justice for his family.
Lord Mountbatten was also blown up and killed by the IRA in 1979, along with two children and a mother who were on board his fishing boat at the time.
In 1984, the IRA very nearly succeeded in blowing up UK PM Thatcher's cabinet in the Brighton hotel bombing prior to a party conference in the town.
In 2019, a whistleblower [Mr Yuill] spoke to the Belfast Telegraph about one of the acquitted Mountbatten killers:

But Mr Yuill claimed he had been informed that McGirl was killed by SAS operatives in retaliation.
"Supposedly he was run over by his own tractor after drinking heavily. I've been told it was made to look that way and the SAS were involved," he said.
"The Provos had killed the Queen's cousin, do you think the British Establishment was going to take that lying down? All bets were off," he added.
Perhaps instead of asking bleedin' obvious questions, Sky should be wondering who might be run over by his own tractor as a result of this latest murder.
