Hyman Roth from The Godfather II would certainly have said that the latest numbers from the UK's One In - One Out immigration policy are 'small potatoes' and would be right to ask: What does that tell you?
Sky News reports that:

- 16 migrants were deported this week
- 42 migrants in total have been reported
- 23 migrants have arrived that are covered by the treaty
The government website that tracks small boat arrivals reports that 490 'irregular migrants' arrived on 9 boats for the week 12-18 October, 2025.

So how come 490 arrived but only 16 were deported?
That's more like 1 out and 31 in.
The Royal Navy used to police the Atlantic ocean to help stop trans-Atlantic slave trading.
Now it can't even police the English channel.
The Daily Mail reports:

However Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp previously called the treaty a 'massive con'.
He said: 'Labour is swindling the British public.
'Since the deal became operational over 10,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the Channel and Labour have removed a mere 26.
'This will obviously not deter anyone.
