The MSM is desperate to make Trump look weak and confused in the face of Putin and the Russian negotiating team.

Sky News reports:

A back and forth on security guarantees from Ukraine, Europe, and Russia all makes the president look rather weak, and it's unclear whether Trump's America would truly sign up to anything that obliges them to do anything...

NATO defence chiefs met on Wednesday to discuss the details of how the security guarantees - the ones Russia won't accept - will work.

European sources at the meeting have told me it was all a great success. And to the comments by Lavrov, a source said: "It's not up to Lavrov to decide on security guarantees. Not up to the one doing the threatening to decide how to deter that threat!"

The 3Ds continue to be in play, as they have been since 2014 and before:

• Deny that Russia sees Ukraine in NATO as a threat
• Deflect all criticism of European leaders onto Putin and Lavrov
• Diffuse any hope that Trump can resolve a conflict provoked, provisioned and prolonged by the West

Meanwhile no-one is flying round the world to stop Netanyahu in Gaza, where a famine has just been officialy recognized by a UN approved definition.
